April & May 2008
October 7, 2008This is what happens when I don't post pictures for 2 months. There's too much going on in this gallery to describe in one little text box. For a quick summary, read the blog post.
Brian and Colleen
October 7, 2008On March 29th, my good friend and former college roommate Brian Reese got married. I was honored to be a groomsman in the wedding and it was fun for Ames and I to get back down to Orlando. Best wishes Colleen & Brian!
UCF Visit
October 7, 2008While I was down in Orlando for Brian and Colleen's wedding, I woke up early one day to take a walk around my old stomping ground.
SXSW 2008
October 7, 2008Last year was my first SXSW Interactive festival and I was blown away by the size and calibre of the event. Getting the opportunity to go back and speak at this year's SXSW festival was quite an honor...and of course, it was lots of fun.
Dr. Aviles and Dodgeball
October 7, 2008Early this month our good friend Misael defended his thesis to become Dr. Aviles. To celebrate, we went out to Miyabi, and then came back to our place for a toast. After the champagne, we got started on our intramural dodgeball shirts. This year we have a coed team, "Oldies but Goodies"; and a girls team, "The War Kittens". You can see the shirt design for both over on jasongraphix.
Januariness
October 7, 2008What? It's the last day of January and I haven't posted a single picture? A lot of fun stuff happened in this month, and we took a lot of pictures. I just never posted any of them...UNTIL NOW. So here it is folks, January in a nutshell.
Christmas & New Year
October 7, 2008After a whirlwind year like 2007 it was nice to get down to Vero Beach again to see our families over Christmas break. We had a great time visiting, eating, and playing Wii. For New Year's Eve we were back up in Columbia and went to a party at Casey and Ashley's house. We're both looking forward to what 2008 will bring.
Thanksgiving
October 7, 2008For Thanksgiving this year we got together with our friends who were staying in Columbia. Ames made "Granny Mixed Veggies" and 2 carrot cakes from her mom's double top secret recipe.
Fall 2007
October 7, 2008From planing walls to squeeze a fridge in a closet, to visiting Josh and Erica in Gainesville, to installing can lights and painting...we did it all this Fall. But now it's the winter time so I figured I needed to get this pictures posted. Yes, we're still working on the kitchen. We made a lot of progress over the last weekend though, so hopefully we'll be done soon!
